Wow! It's been exactly a month since my last journal, I must be slacking. Anywho, quick update to get y'all up to speed. My birthday went well, got more cake than I could handle. Home life's still about the same; I'm hanging in there. Got some major sewing progress done. I actually finished Rukia's shinigami robes and managed to find the perfect sweater for the winter version of the school uniform for her. I'm also over half way done with Ririn, I cut my long blonde wig short (which was full of knots anyway) and made her poncho thingy as well as the petticoat and underskirt for her dress, I plan on working on the dress tomorrow.

So this evening I went to my first parade of the year, Muses, one of the all female krewes (yes that's how it's spelled). We stayed only for the first few floats, because after that, the parade staled for over an hour. It wasn't too bad, it was just getting too cold and we knew there'd be plenty more parades this weekend. You don't want to burn yourself out too early, other wise you won't make it to Mardi Gras Day.

will be coming down to stay at my house for the weekend, it will be her second New Orleans Mardi Gras. I'm also majorly excited because this will be my first year going to Zulu, one of the big krewes that run on Mardi Gras Day. I plan to cosplay as Pirika that day since it's a pretty comfortable costume. Well I guess that's it for now, I'll try to post more later this weekend or Monday if I don't get too caught up in the excitement.
