I'm back (in more ways than one)

I'm finally back from Momocon. I stayed at Dark Hero and iShinigami's house last night so I wouldn't have to drive all the way back here in one go. I had a great time, even though is was cold and wet the entire time. I need to remake my sandals and sword and buy a real hakuma for my Rukia cosplay, I was so glad I brought that brown fabric to use as a cape, it kept me a bit warmer. My Ririn cosplay came out great, I just wish I'd gotten to wear it more. Unfortunately, since my next 2 con will be when it's warmer, I don't think I'll be wearing her for a while.

I've decided to move up the premier date for my Sailor V cosplay. I now plan on having it finished my May, in time for LouisiAnime. After that, I plan on attempting a mascot costume of Ririn (plush version) that I hope I can have done by AWA. Then I plan on taking a break from my own costumes and working on a few for other people (ie, Jessie and my little cousins). Hopely, either late this year or early next, I'll start working on Suki and Goku.

One last note, I was asked over the weekend to think up cosplays and groups for certain people, so my next entry should contain some theoretical groups. All I ask is that no one get offended if they aren't included in a group or placed as a character they don't like. I'm not forcing anyone into these roles, they are only the product of my wandering mind while I'm driving.

Hey, are you planning on attending Marc's Alabama con? I'm still debating on going, but if I get to see you and the rest of our usual gang, it might sway my decision~

I'm currently debating it myself. It certainly would be an easy one to take Jess to. I've also been trying to piece together a giant Ouran group, since I talked those 2 into doing Tamaki and Haruhi.

If you guys decide to go for sure, let me know~ and if you want to split a room with us, I'll be happy to chip in (and Chance as well, if I can convince him to go) and make the reservation. What with the wedding and stuff, we're kind of falling out of the convention circuit, but Mobile would probably be easy.

Marc asked me if the Ouran group might be interested in doing the tea party there, too. I told him I wasn't sure how many people would be interested~

I'm looking into the rooms right now, just need to do some money shifting before I book it for sure.

I just sent out messages to almost everyone I'd like for the group. I should know the status of both by the end of the week.

Ok, it looks like a 90% certainty that we'll be going to Anime AL. I talked to Jess last night and he may kill me now if I don't take him. Leah's trying to convince Keith (who may be our new Mori) and his roomie (who wants to do Nekozawa). I'm talking Rin and Sephi into joining us as well.

I'll probibly book the room and pre-reg this weekend after I get paid.

Huzzah! I'll put in for time off work, then. That is if it's okay that I come and crash with you guys again? Do you want me to bring Honey or did you have someone else? Same with Kyoya; should I try and drag Chance or is someone else joining in?

*will try and get a new wig and shoes by then in any case*

Yes! Please do bring Honey, Jess still wants to do Chika. I figure we can do the summer uniforms since it'll be June and those blazers can get pretty hot. If I remember correctly, for the high school, that just involves a short-sleeved dress shirt and the tie.

Unfortunately, Seth and Melissa can't make it, since Melissa can't get off that weekend.

Chance is welcome to join us, as long as you guys don't mind a slightly crowded room (9 max).

*excited* Yay, I'm really happy he's doing Chika afterall! And YAY, summer uniforms. I'll add better fitting pants and a muscle shirt to my list since I won't have the bagginess to hide everything~ but I'm glad since it'll be more comfortable without our blazers.

Any word on Leah and Keef?

Also, want me to ask Marc if we can do the Ouran Tea Party, or are we just going to do group cosplay? Thanks so much for organizing everyone!!

I would love to do the Tea Party again, Sephi and Rin would too! BTW~ Sephi finally posted the Tea Party Vid: [link]

I talked to Leah who's still trying to convince him to come (I'm about to start pestering him directly). If push comes to shove, she's going to kidnap his roomie and they'll just leave Keith in Ruston. lol
